Yesterday, I was in Orlando shopping all day with the girl and her roommate. Yeah, it was busy and insane and a wee bit tiring. It got me thinking. Why doesn't the mall in Gainesville get the hint? It blows. Lousy I tell ya. What's wrong with it? Well let me tell you....

Well...the plane tickets have been bought and visions of etouffee are now dancing in my head. The countdown to Mardi Gras has begun. The quarter is in good shape, but unsure of the rest of the city. The street cars are down, but it will not stop our local jolly crew of N'Awlins lovers from making the annual trip. Next year, we even have some first timers! I will keep you posted of some of the landmarks that we will frequent. One of my favorite touristy places is Pat O'Briens. With their piano bar, expansive patio, flaming centepiece and those dasturdly devislish hurricanes it's hard not to love this icon of the quarter. Did I mention that they serve more liquor their then anyplace on planet earth? Yeah...really...
