This Thursday night, Tom Petty will make his return to Gainesville after 13 years. Since his last show in town he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has garnered accolades for his live shows and back catalog of classic rock songs including "Refugee" and "American Girl". The New York City based band The Strokes will open (whom I've never seen). The show will be broadcasted live via Westwood One and can be heard on your local radio station. The show will be videotaped and will be shown on television in the future. Finally, there is a rumor that Stevie Nicks and others guests will be making an appearance. Oh yeah, the show sold out in 30 minutes.
