Beat Kentucky

Okay Gator Hoop Nation...now exhale...take one step back...another...then another...good...give them some room. You see, they have enough pressure on themselves and they really don't need you breathing down their neck. Yeah you heard me. There's a little blue and white team from Kentucky that wants to play bombardment in the O'Connell center and they think the Gators are down. Way down. Down to the ground. Wrong. We got 'em right where we want 'em. Never underestimate our team under dire circumstances. The second half of the Tennessee game showed that the mean angry Gator has awoke from a deep slumber after being battle tested, poke and prodded. The team needed some rest, so they decided to take a few power naps during actual games. Not really what Billy the Kid wanted, but it'll do. It's Kentucky...at home...senior day...with a national tv audience lurking in...hoping and praying that we are on a downward spiral...but it will not happen. Our kids have heart, passion and each other. Back in 1994, we were clearly the underdog. We matched UK point for point over 40 minutes. The O'Dome ebbed and flowed with each of Andrew DeCerq's 20 rebounds. Defense ruled that day and so will Sunday. Expect our best basketball of the season which will springboard into both tournaments. So stand back...let 'em breathe...you're gonna need yours for some cheering.
